Rohit Sharma Creates History As A T20 Captain

Rohit Sharma one of the best batting sensation of Indian Cricket Team. He is well known as “HITMAN” in the team. He is known to hit huge sixes out of the ground. The capability of hitting long sixes makes him one of the best batsman of the Indian Cricket Team. He is currently the vice-captain of the team in the limited overs format.

 Rohit Gurunath Sharma is also known as the RO-HITMAN-SHARMA. Rohit Sharma holds my records under his name. He has scored three double centuries in the limited overs format. The centuries are as 264,209,208* and many more to come. Not only these he has also scored four centuries in T20 cricket.

In the starting of his career he faced many difficulties to find a place in the team as he asked to bat at number 6 or 7, so he could not play big knocks but after MS DHONI asked him to open the innings, he became the number one opener in no time. Rohit opened the innings in the Champions Trophy that was held in England. From now then he never looked back and continue his great form in international cricket.

  • Rohit Sharma is now the only Indian captain to win two 3-0 series whitewashes in T20Is.
  • Under Rohit, India registered clean sweeps over Sri Lanka and the West Indies in the recent days.

Rohit is also the third captain to achieve the achievement after Afghanistan’s Asghar Afghan (who has 3 series wins) and Pakistan’s Sarfraz Ahmed (who has 5 series wins).

Rohit Sharma ha also another record as captain as after leading the team in 12 matches, he has only lost 1 match as captain. Other players like Shoaib Malik, Asghar Stanikzai and Sarfaraz Ahmed had all won 10 games in their first 12  international matches.

Rohit Sharma has a total of 2207 runs in t20. Recently he has passed Virat Kohli record of most runs in t20 internationals. Rohit Sharma is now just small margin of runs away from becoming the highest run-scorer in the shortest format of the game, overtaking New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, who has 2271 runs. As Rohit Sharma is proceeding in his career no doubt he will break all the records in the international cricket.
