5 Home Remedies For Healthy Long And Strong Hair

Luscious thick long hair can turn a number of heads, anywhere. Earlier this component of beauty was associated with one gender. But now the progressive society has willfully broadened the scope to the others as well. The true beauty of hair lies in its health. Always keep your hair clean and healthy. Try and use organic shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Split ends, dandruff and unkempt hair are always disliked.

Here are a few ways to keep your hair neat and ensure healthy growth:

Egg Mask

You will need:

  • An egg
  • 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey

Mix all the ingredients and stir into a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your hair and scalp, leave it on for 20 minutes. Afterwards, wash it off with cold water and shampoo.

Ginger Root

  • Take the ginger root, peel it and grate it. Then rub the grated ginger on your scalp where hair growth seems scanty. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse your hair. Ginger root improves blood circulation in the scalp.

Guava Leaves

You will need:

  • A handful of green leaves
  • 1-litre water
  • Shampoo
  • Lukewarm water

Boil the guava leaves in the water and strain the liquid. Rinse your hair with shampoo and dry as usual. Once dry, apply the guava water on your hair and scalp. Massage it in and leave it on for 2-3 hours. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

You will need:

  • 2-3 tablespoons of turmeric powder
  • 1 cup of raw milk
  • 2 tablespoons of Honey.

Mix the turmeric powder and honey in the milk thoroughly. Apply this mixture on your scalp and then let it sit for 30 minutes. Wash it off with shampoo and tepid water.

Raw Shea Butter

  • Warm up the butter and liquefy it. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse hair as usual. Cocoa butter can also be used. Repeat once a week for best results.

I am Smrithy N Manoj, a 19 year old girl with her head in the clouds. God gave us one life and I have vowed to expend it to the maximum. I aspire to be a writer one day. Gothic and fictional styles are my favourite. Books have always been my soulmates. Poetry writing was my first experience with writing, followed by story writing and articles. My dreams aren't just fantasies I daydream, I have plans, and have started my path down the road. Although my head is in the clouds, my feet are definitely planted firmly on the ground.
