Railway Minister Mr Piyush Goyal has announced Train 18 as India’s fastest Train. The train is meant for intra-day travelling. The Train is developed by Integral Coach Factory at a cost of Rs 100 crore. The train offers better comfort and safety to the passenger. Train 18 will replace the current Shatabdi Express. Train 18 usually cut down the travelling time up to 10-15% as compared to the Shatabdi Express. The Train is also known by the name of Vande Bharat Express. This semi-high speed train is further scheduled to be flagged off in the coming days by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Train has 2 classes of tickets one is executive and the second one is Chair Class which have differently priced meal. The Chair Class ticket will cost Rs 1850 and the Executive class will cost Rs 3520 for a trip to Delhi- Varanasi including meals. Whereas, while returning the fares is a little bit less. Vande Bharat Train is expected to cover the distance between Delhi- Varanasi in 8 hours by taking a stoppage at 2 stations.
