To pay a tribute to our soldiers that were martyred in Pulwama attack. COA has decided, that opening ceremony of upcoming cash-rich IPL season will not be held. Money used in the ceremony will be donated to the Pulwama martyrs families. It’s a great move by them to feed the families of our soldiers.
Pulwama attack commenced on 14th February by Jaish-e-Mohammed. He is the terrorist in Pakistan, that withhold the 40 CRPF jawan travelling by bus.
This attack has sealed many ways of Pakistan in getting help from India. India has stopped all the facilities that they render to Pakistan.
The opening ceremony of IPL is a heady mix of glitz and glamour. Various Bollywood stars performing in the night of the open ceremony. IPL has been among the most loved and cherished tournament as compared to others. It’s just like a festival celebrated in India. It has been decided that scrap the ceremony of events of 12th edition beginning of March 23.
“We will not have an inaugural ceremony for the upcoming ipl, and the money budgeted for it will be given to the martyr’s families”, said the COA.
He has taken this action in the recent meeting that happened on Friday.
The effect of it can also be seen on the India-Pakistan match in World Cup 2019. The final call will be taken in just a few days.
The families have undergone a severe heartbreak in the recent past as their beloved family member is now no more in this world. The Jawan has sacrificed his life for the nation to uplift the name of their motherland.
IPL will start from 23 March, defending champion Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.
