Venur Dhananjay Kumar, the ex-Union Minister for civil aviation passed away on Monday. He was suffering from a kidney related ailment for a long time. He died at 67, before that in December 2018 he slipped into the state of coma. His condition worsened after a few months.
Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy condoled his death. As per the report by the News Minute, he said, “Former Union Minister Dhananjay Kumar passed away today (Monday). I am deeply saddened. He was served as a Union Minister and held multiple portfolios. May his soul rest in peace. May his family have the strength to bear the pain his death will bring“.

V Dhananjay Kumar was one of the first BJP MPs from South India to be elected at the time when the Congress party was at its peak. He won Lok Sabha elections from Mangaluru more than three times – 1996, 1998 and 1999. He had worked in Karnataka’s three most important parties.
