Not everyday we see social media with challenges which can be actually contributing to the hygiene and development of the society. This viral challenge includes people, cleaning a dirty place and taking before-after photos of the same spot.
The challenge has its origin when UCO, a company that makes outdoor gear, started Trashtag Project in 2015, which encouraged people to clean littered places. Though the project’s essence was lost by the end of 2016, March 2019. It is witnessing a revival of the project where social media is playing a significant role in its expansion and promotion.
People across the globe are taking the challenge and it goes by different names, which includes #CleanUpChallenge, #trashchallenge and #ChallengeforChange.
