Pune-based agro-tech startup AgroStar has raised $27 million in Series C funds to scale up operations and strengthen its technology platform. The funding round was led by Bertelsmann India along with its existing investors Accel, Chirate Ventures and Aavishkar Bharat Fund.
The company is also planning to strengthen its leadership team by bringing in top executives to lead various verticals like technology, data science and agriculture. “We have achieved more than a million downloads and wish to scale it up to 10 million beneficiaries within the next two to three years,” said Sheth. The company claims to have about 400,000 monthly active users at present.
