Student housing company Oxfordcaps has raised $8 million in Series A funding led by Times Internet. The round also saw participation from existing investors Kalaari Capital and 500 Startups. Founded by Annu Talreja, Priyanka Gera, Oxfordcaps provides technology-driven living experience to Gen Z students in India and Singapore. The new capital will be used to achieve its growth plans along with expansion into 10 cities. The startup is also investing in capabilities like IoT and Deep Learning. According to the company’s press statement, it has clocked a 30X growth in less than a year and aims to grow its operations across cities like Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Dehradun, Indore, Jaipur, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad which majorly houses the students.
